Good Sunday Morning!
Hi everyone! I just wanted to post a quick reminder about the assignments that are due before break!
TOMORROW 12/19 - Independent Reading Project (10 reading logs + 1 activity)
TUESDAY 12/20 @ MIDNIGHT - Phantom Homework
If you have any questions, please ask ASAP.
Lastly, don't forget about our White Elephant Party scheduled for Tuesday :o) If you would like to bring a goofy gift wrapped up, then you can participate. The best gifts are silly and shouldn't cost you more than a dollar at the most. Think about "coupons" that you can give out, re-gifting things that you didn't like, or whatever other ideas you might have. Also feel free to bring in treats for the class to share. Let's make this the best Holiday Party EVER!!

The debates are over and winter break is near! Let's break down the next two things coming up:
The Independent Reading Project
The IRP is due on Monday December 19th! You should have 10 Interactive Reading Logs completed and ONE activity of your choosing. Remember - hard work, effort, and creativity MATTER! I want your best work, not your sloppiest, worst, leftover-pizza-smeared-papers work. Some of you need to recover from the SRD, so let's make this count. Your IRP is worth 100 points.
Forget the handout? Download the activities here and the reading log here.
The Phantom of the Opera!
My FAVORITE (besides poetry) unit of the year is here!!! The Phantom of the Opera is the single most famous Broadway musical to ever hit the stage. We will be watching the film version and doing a character study as we go. Each of your homework assignments for the film study will be completed online. Below, you will find a copy of the introduction to The Phantom powerpoint. Feel free to refer back to it as needed. If you miss a day, Phantom can be found online on YouTube. Get EXCITED FOR PHANTOM!!
Be sure to click view full screen to be able to read the text on each page!

After three long days of debating, today we're going to give you guys the chance to ask questions and discuss the three issues that were on the table last week. What are your final thoughts? Where do we stand as a class on these three important issues?
